The End of Gorillaz

Gorillaz are breaking up, due mostly to the death of bassist Murdoc Niccals.

I don’t quite know what to say.

Gorillaz got me through everything; when I watched the Twin Towers fall, I was listening to “Punk”; as it dawned on me that George W. Bush really was going to be our leader for three more years, the sounds of Demon Days surrounded me. I didn’t really care about Plastic Beach but Snoop Dogg is cool I guess.

R.I.P. Murdoc and R.I.P. Gorillaz. I will miss you, with all of my heart.

Now I’m off to draw some Murdoc/2D fanart to console myself… all of my creyz ;__;

R.I.P. Murdoc Niccals

Murdoc Niccals, bassist for rock ‘n’ roll band Gorillaz, has died at the age of 45. Niccals was enjoying a weekend at his vacation home in the Hamptons and was found lying on the beach by a white, middle-class, heterosexual teenage girl. According to the girl, who wished to remain anonymous, the bassist appeared to be “convulsing” and had a “sickly green tone” to his skin. At the moment, Niccals’ cause of death is unknown. He will be missed.
